Age limits and driving license

The minimum age is 21 years and the maximum is 75 years. The driver's license must have been issued at least 12 months before the start of the rental. Non-EU citizens are required to produce an international driving license along with a valid national driving license.


Driving outside Greece and transporting – moving the vehicle by boat or other means

It is not allowed without the written permission of Lets Drive.


Traffic offences and administrative fines

They are imposed on the driver if it appears that they relate to the rental period even after it is over. During rental, the vehicle is not allowed to:

  1. be used by people under the influence of alcohol or drugs,
  2. be used for driving lessons,
  3. transport people or objects for a fee,
  4. be used for towing another vehicle or object
  5. be used by people other than those agreed in the rental contract.

Fuel Policy

The driver must return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel it had when it was delivered to him as indicated in the signed rental contract.In case the vehicle is returned with less fuel, the difference will be charged to the driver as well as any other costs for the refuelling service. There is no refund or any compensation if the vehicle is returned with more fuel.


Car accidents

In the event of a traffic accident, the driver must alert the Police as soon as possible and immediately after inform Lets Drive. The driver then has to produce within 24 hours a copy of the police report to Lets Drive.


Reservations

All bookings are made for the specific category and not for a particular model. In the event of unavailability of a confirmed reservation, Lets Drive reserves the right to provide the customer with a higher class car without any charge for the customer.


Insurance

The driver has the right to choose between the following types of insurance:

  • CDW with exemption from liability for the insurance company of € 650.00 + VAT for the categories A, B, C, C1, C1A, D and D1, exemption from liability for the insurance company of 1.100,00 € + VAT for the categories S, Z, E and H and exemption from liability for the insurance company of € 2,000.00 + VAT for the category Z1. The exemption is reserved for the rental period through credit card which must be issued in the name of the driver.
  • FDW exemption from liability for the insurance company of € 0.00. FDW is charged €13.00 per 24-hour rental for the categories A, B, C, C1, C1A, D, D1 and € 20.00 per 24-hour rental for the categories E, Z, Z1, S, V and H. The CDW and FDW do not in any way cover damages to the wheels, the interior and parts below the car (chassis) of Lets Drive. Any insurance coverage reaches up to the amount of the financial compensation mentioned in the insurance contract of the vehicle.

Payment methods

The rental cost is paid in advance. Payment can be made by debit card, VISA or MasterCard credit card. The driver is required to provide a credit card issued in his / her name for the warranty even if the rent is paid in cash. Diners Club and American Express cards are not accepted.


Breakdown service

Lets Drive cars are covered 24 hours by a breakdown service. Contact details will be given to you at the beginning of the rental.
